On June 5, 1975, Latimer County Sheriffs office responded to a scene located about 10 miles southeast of Wilburton, OK near the Bengal Community. Eli Wayboum and his wife Mary had been working in a heavily wooded area located about 1/4 mile from their residence when someone shot them from a distance.
