OSBI Laboratories & Facilities

The OSBI currently has two separate laboratories conveniently located throughout the state to provide services and testimony to various regions of the state. To find out more about these laboratories, the counties they serve, and the services offered, click on the links below.  The OSBI is also accepting evidence at the Southwestern Regional Facility in Lawton, OK, and at the Eastern Regional Facility in McAlester, OK. These facilities no longer perform laboratory analyses. However, evidence may still be submitted at the Lawton and McAlester facilities, and it will be analyzed at one of our two testing laboratories.

The Southwestern Regional Facility in Lawton, Oklahoma is no longer available for laboratory analysis.  Current evidence acceptance is Southwest Regional Facility, 1010 SW Railroad Street, Lawton

Effective September 2023, the new location for OSBI Lab evidence acceptance in Lawton at the OBNDD office will be open 2 days per week for our customers.

The Forensic Science Center, located in Edmond, Oklahoma is a state of the art crime laboratory.
The operating hours for the laboratory are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with the exception of state holidays.
If assistance is required, please, call the number listed below or 405-848-6724 or 1-800-522-8017 if outside of Oklahoma City and assistance will be provided.

The services offered by the Forensic Science Center include:

 

Evidence Acceptance Hours:
Evidence will be accepted between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Officers submitting evidence must be at our facility before 4:00 p.m. to begin submitting evidence.  Our Evidence Tech Units will close promptly at 5:00 p.m. each day.  As a result, if an evidence submittal is started before 4:00 p.m. but not completed by 5:00 p.m., the remaining evidence will be returned to the officer, and he/she will be required to return the next business day to complete the evidence submittal.  

Therefore, to avoid any inconvenience, officers with large amounts of evidence to submit are encouraged to submit the evidence to the OSBI lab early in the day.

Northeastern Regional Laboratory

The Northeastern Regional Laboratory is located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  

Operating hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Monday through Friday with the exception of state holidays.

The Northeastern Regional Laboratory provides Forensic Biology and Controlled Substances services to the Northeastern counties of Oklahoma.
