Please read these helpful hints before you start your online application.

You will not have a Reference Code until you have started an online application.
The online Forgot Reference Code link can only be used if you have started an online application within the last 7 days or completed one in the last 90 days.
If you are unable to upload a recent, forward-facing digital picture for any reason:
- For Renewal Applications you can email the recent picture to [email protected] once you have completed the online application. You will need to include your full name, date of birth and online reference number in the email.
- For an Initial Application you will need to include two recent passport pictures with your summary sheet from your completed online application when you submit your application to the County Sheriff’s Office.
Once an online application is submitted you cannot get back in and make changes. Changes can only be submitted via email or by mailing in a corrected summary sheet from your online application to the OSBI – SDA Unit, 6600 N. Harvey Place, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
Once the OSBI starts processing your application you will get an email letting you know we have received your application. State Statute allows 60 to 90 days to process an application.
You can check the status of your application through the Check Status button on the start application page or below. Once the application is received and being processed, the status will remain the same until the application processing is completed.
