Created in 1953, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation’s Criminalistics Services Division provides a multitude of forensic science services to law enforcement agencies operating within Oklahoma. The Division provides services out of a number of strategically located laboratories throughout our State, with the majority of services being performed in our Forensic Science Center in Edmond, OK. Employees moved into this state-of-the-art, 80,000+ square foot facility in May 2008.
The FSC houses scientists in every discipline in which we provide services. The location of the FSC allows us to partner with professors and students in the Forensic Science program at the University of Central Oklahoma. This partnership creates opportunities for continued training of our scientists by members of academia, education of students by our forensic professionals, extensive research initiatives, consultation between academics and our scientists about unique items of evidence, and internships for students.
The forensic disciplines in which we provide services can be found below. We encourage you to visit the websites for each discipline if you have questions about the analysis we perform or if you need documents specific to a particular discipline.
